THE FUNDAMENTAL FEATURES OF OUR IDENTITY

The living faith and the availability to the will of God were the spiritual attitudes that particularly determined Fr. James Spagnolo and Mother Celestine Bottego to begin our missionary family. These attitudes are also fundamental for our identity of consecrated women for the mission.

OTHER ASPECTS THAT CHARACTERIZED US:

 “With-Through-In Christ”

The center of our life is Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who died and resurrected for love. He unites us and calls us to continue His mission. By His grace, living with Him, through Him, and in Him - we desire to make our lives a total gift for God the Father and to our brothers and sisters. Our slogan - “Our Father, may your kingdom come soon through Mary”- is the supplication that joins every mission given to us. It expresses the desire of our heart, the longing for the total fulfillment of the plan of God, the reconstitution in Christ of all the world shattering.

Completely available to the action of the Merciful Omnipotence of God

Being a missionary means self-giving to the action of the Merciful Omnipotence of God so that He may achieve His plan of regeneration of the world through our littleness:

“With Him, also we want to act where and how our cooperation is required. Yes, we are small and undeserved, but we are such desired and willing instruments of His Omnipotence that we also want to spread His Mercy, so that may -with us and through us- access to the free gifts of God, overall the biggest ones, those that lead to the infinite and eternal (Fr. James Spagnolo)”.

“Like and through Mary”

Mary is our inspiration, especially the Visitation mystery which offers us a model to our interior attitude toward God and our brothers and sisters. Mary goes with promptness toward her cousin Elizabeth, bringing Jesus in her womb, appearing like any other woman, but with a great secret: a big mission to accomplish for the humanity!!!

“A spirit of family and mercy”

Called by our Lord Jesus and with His help, we commit ourselves to build a community founded on a unity of heart and spirit, even in the plurality and diversity, basing our relationship on the esteem, on the fraternal love, on mercy and on a giving and welcoming forgiveness. The communion among us is the condition for the effectiveness of our mission: “This is how all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another (Jn 13:35)”.
